Jagannathan has dedicated her life to the mission of liberating Dalit, or "untouchable," women and their families from their misery and servile bondage to the landlords in the Tanjore area, which is located in the state of Tamil Nadu in India.

Jagannathan has worked tirelessly to assist impoverished families with livelihood by abolishing landlessness and bringing humanity and dignity to their lives.

Event program

Following an introduction that captures the life work of Krishnammal Jagannathan, including her meetings with Mohandas Gandhi and Martin Luther King, Jr., she will discuss her work in India.

Krishnammal will also answer questions about important issues such as human rights, social justice and giving back in a global world.
